2026 Image Concepts & Projects
Image Projects in Progress
Each year I create a list of images I feel called to make — portraits, moments, and stories that reflect community, identity, growth, and lived experience.
Some of these are deeply personal.
Some are inspired by conversations, history, and everyday life.
All of them are rooted in collaboration.
This page is an open invitation.
If one of these concepts speaks to you — if you see yourself, your story, or your community within it — I would love to talk about creating it together.
These projects may become part of exhibitions, galleries, educational work, or personal series.
How Participation Work
Each image concept below is open to collaboration.
Participation may include:
• Portrait sessions (studio or on location)
• Story sharing or interviews (optional)
• Community-based shoots
• Exhibitions or published work
Some projects are unpaid collaborative art projects.
Some may offer stipends, prints, or future opportunities as funding becomes available.

Boss Babes
The Images:
This photo project brings together groups of Native women to create meaningful, story-driven imagery for both artistic storytelling and stock photography. The goal is to build a library of authentic, respectful, and diverse visuals that reflect real Indigenous women in leadership, community, motherhood, business, culture, and everyday life. Through collaborative group sessions, we are creating modern, real-life images that center Native women as strong, confident, capable, and visible.
Why This Matters:
Brands, publications, educators, and organizations constantly need diverse imagery — yet authentic Indigenous representation is limited.
This project aims to:
• Increase accurate visibility of Native women in media
• Create stock imagery rooted in real people and real stories
• Break stereotypes and showcase modern Indigenous life
• Build opportunities for Native creatives and communities
Every image is created with intention, respect, and community at the forefront.
Who I’m Looking For:
Native women of all ages, professions, body types, and tribal nations are encouraged to participate. No modeling experience is needed — just authenticity.
Current Status:
Open for collaboration / Actively scheduling / In progress
Devils Lake - Dancer in Red
The Image:
Portraits of Native business owners in their work spaces — shops, studios, farms, offices — captured in natural light with details of their craft.
Why This Matters:
Native entrepreneurship is often overlooked. These images highlight resilience, leadership, and the modern realities of Indigenous business owners.
Who I’m Looking For:
Native-owned businesses, makers, service providers, and creatives in Wisconsin and beyond.
Current Status:
Open for collaboration
3 Applique Dancers
The Image:
3 applique dancers with red tip feathers, in a field, walking in the wind
Why This Matters:
This will be a recreation of the image seen at the top of the page. While that image itself was another recreation of a candid moment, I would like to recreate this again with more intention. I would love to explore the stories behind the red tips and the veterans who presented them. Possibly creating an image of dancer and veteran.
Who I’m Looking For:
Applique-style dancers with red-tipped feathers
Current Status:
Open for collaboration
Castle Mound - Black River Falls
The Image:
Exploring different seasons. Multiple dancers or Individual dancers.
Why This Matters:
These images are created to highlight the landscape and the individuals.
Who I’m Looking For:
Dancers in regalia
Current Status:
Open for collaboration
Why I’m Creating This Work
Photography, for me, is not just about beautiful images.
It’s about visibility, connection, and honoring real stories.
These projects allow me to:
• document lived experiences
• uplift underrepresented voices
• create work that lives beyond social media
• build archives for future generations
If you feel connected to any of these ideas, I would love to hear from you.
